I needed an inexpensive set of calipers for a townie hack bike ( a 1970’s Nishiki mid range carbon steel road frame, now built up as a 3-speed with flat bars. Needed long caliper arms as the frame was designed for 27″ wheels, but I built up some old 700c super champion touring rims with a 1960 Sturmey Archer hub)Do not expect much! They are fine but maybe not for the inexperienced builder. Here’s some notes:The centerbolt mounting bushing/adapters are next to worthless. They tried to make them universal, but are worthless on the rear brake bridge (round tube with a hole through it. ). I swapped in better fitting ones. Likewise on the fork crown, but not as bad.The brakeshoe holders are not really orbital adjustable so I had to use my trusty old Ford wrench ( look it up!) to tweak the arms to get the rim alignment needed. The assembly is not to be trusted. The pivot dual bolt nuts were only hand tight and not correctly torqued. Failure to do so could be catastrophic..The center bolt adjustable nut (which requires a 12mm thin wrench) also was not adjusted correctly. But for a silly townie bike these $22 brakes will outlast my usage of the bike. Just don’t expect even Tektro level of quality. I started with those, but moved them onto a new hack gravel bike I just built. But that’s another story.
