Description Chilled Iron grit is produced by the melting of cast iron with the subsequent atomisation and crushing of the grains. Due to the extreme hardness, the grain breaks into sharpened particles during the blasting process. This gives the operating mixture its permantly high cleaning and roughening properties. Chilled cast iron angular is particularly suitable for processing metallic surfaces in pressure blasting machines. With its high cleaning and roughening properties and due to its hardness and high carbon content, chilled cast iron repeatedly breaks into sharp-edged particles, which leads to a very high abrasive performance with short blasting times. Applications: Reusable Abrasive, Rust and Paint Removal, Metal Preparation, Keying Surfaces, Fast Cleaning of Steel.
